Customers:
- I have the co-workers development in focus in all my efforts
- I am an expert of training program design and delivery and will always facilitate and enforce business relevant programs across the organization
- I ensure that co-workers across the organization have a user friendly access to the necessary self-development materials and have individual development plans
- I develop and maintain a platform where sharing knowledge is a culture in IKEA KSA
- Performance management at IKEA KSA is my main responsibility and I deliver and maintain a performance management system that is up to date and compatible with the existing positions in each unit
- I use the IKEA talent approach to enhance the talent management culture at IKEA KSA and ensure that high potentials are spotted and are part of the company succession plan
- I work proactively with the management review process and ensure that each and every identified successor has a living development plan and learning contract
Commercial:
- Co-workers satisfaction is a key success factor to my role and I ensure conducting satisfaction surveys such as VOICE to measure the co-workers’ engagement level periodically
- I act as a change agent for development activities taking place within IKEA KSA and ensure that change management culture is spread within the organization
- I contribute to making IKEA a great place to work, stay and grow with by offering attractive learning solutions
- I observe job market trends frequently and participate in employer branding activities to ensure learning offers provided within the organization are supporting IKEA to become the retail employer of choice
- I use the output of different performance management results ( VOICE, Appraisal, Commercial Review, etc…) to design and develop relevant learning solutions
- HR business cycle is a key to ample organization of all the Human Resources and people related activities during the IKEA fiscal year and I develop and maintain an updated cycle on yearly basis
- I develop and maintain a living succession plan across the organization by securing a thorough and structured succession planning strategy and approach supported by documentation and/or tracking system
- IKEA KSA must always be perceived as a learning environment and I contribute to that by creating the right tools internally and maintaining a strong relationship with training vendors.
People:
- I learn through people and stay connected with learning and development matrix partners in the stores as well as the Country Learning & Development Manager and Competence Development Specialist to get ideas and support in fulfilling my function goals
- I provide an inspiring and motivating direction for my matrix partners and engage them fully in the IKEA objectives.
- I support the recruitment of learning and development team through IKEA values by identifying what skills are needed to get the job done as well as what motivations and capabilities will complement the existing team
- I am committed to the development of Learning & Development team and together we develop their individual development plans which reflects their individual development needs and business development needs. I support them in achieving these plans
- I delegate responsibility to my matrix partners in the store and involve them in development projects to help them grow and develop according to their individual ability and experience
- I create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with my L&D team and other colleagues
- I secure the training of my team in order to have competent and focused co- workers who can support the learning and development process
- I actively lead and ensure that I have in place a living succession plan
- I set clear goals and expectations and make time to follow them up with learning and development, Service Office HR, and HR teams in the stores
