Role SummaryReporting into the Package Manager, the Main Stations Manager will play an active full-time on the Riyadh Metro project. The role is based in the Head Office in Riyadh but some travel will be required within Riyadh to scrutinize actual progress on site.This major rail project requires a senior level Architect with a successful track record of delivering technical leadership major civil projects. The Main Stations Manger will provide strategic oversight and managerial direction on all matters relating to the design and construction of the railway stations on the Riyadh Metro project.The chosen candidate will represent the client’s design interests and will ensure that all design documents produced relating to the passenger station are of high quality and within the context of scope, schedule and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Leading an architectural design team to deliver quality, time and cost Providing technical leadership to assure that all technical work is of high quality, accurate and within the context of schedule and budget Assuring that the project and deliverables are in conformance with contractual requirements Developing design in accordance with railway safety requirements Reviewing the sub-contractor technical specifications for the design and construction of stations (underground, above ground and at-grade) Reviewing design for constructability and proposed methods of construction Ensuring that the construction of the railway station complies with design standards Facilitating the resolution of any failed construction and design issues Identifying and reporting scope creep to the Design Manager and the client Evaluating the impact of any budget, schedule and changes within the design Providing clear recommendations to the design team and the client Undertaking construction supervision, architectural finishes and implementation in close coordination with the construction management team (when required)
