Major Duties and Responsibilities
Second tier customer support, troubleshooting and providing solutions for the front line support folks, providing guidance and training when required
Develop a deep understanding of company applications, and how to support them
Answer helpdesk request tickets via web interface
Address urgent issues quickly
Prepare new servers, optimize existing servers and perform server surveillance, monitoring and maintenance
Monitor Network and Internet infrastructure
Design and implement software images
Distribute computers and printers according to assigned schedule
Test and evaluate new technology
Install antivirus and spam protection and manage security appliances and solutions
Data Center Security
Codify frequent issues into documented or scripted processes
Document required bugfixes, end-user feature improvements, and operations feature improvements
Document exceptions and fixes for inclusion into core product
Act as customer advocate
Provide continuous feedback to customers
Assists in capacity planning of computers
Note: this job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
