Facility Senior Officer - Abyat

- Prepare and review the department budget on a quarterly basis.

- Ensure that the business transactions of the department operate within the approved budget of the department.

- Plan and assign tasks to the safety, security and housekeeping staff.

- Draft and review the policies and procedures for the facility management dept.

- Monitor the department functions to ensure that stipulated policies and procedures are compiled by staff.

- Ensure that the facility is maintained to the required standards for obtaining / renewing licenses and approvals from the fire departments and ministries.

- Maintain facility services contract (eg. firefighting, security etc.).

- Supervise safety, security and housekeeping staff to accomplish superior standards of facility services.

- Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair equipment and electrical and mechanical systems related to safety and security.

- Inspect the CCTVs and other security controls at the facility.

- Direct and monitor the activities of the safety and security staff

- Ensure that the checklists are filled in by concerned staff during facilities inspection

- Identify high vulnerable security areas in the facility and ensure that these areas are covered within the existing monitoring systems in a cost effective manner

- Follow up with concerned officers on areas of concern in safety, security and sanitation

- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are planned and followed

- Ensure that requests for stationery, consumables, staff uniforms, office accessories are provided

- Monitor the inventory of general office supplies and consumables for adequate stock

- Approve and provide for maintenance requests from various departments

- Ensure that maintenance services provided meet the set standards

- Provide awareness training to department staff on policies and procedures to be followed in areas of security, safety and housekeeping

- Review performance of staff and identify areas for improvement

- Study the available systems and processes for facility management and identify areas for improvement

- Plan and develop new policies and procedures to ensure enough checkpoints are maintained in operations that would establish high standards to be followed by staff

- Research suppliers for services and consumables for cost effectiveness and on-time delivery services

- Knowledge of safety and security systems, standards and procedures
