Finance Manager:-
1.1 Summary:-
This position is responsible for managing the overall resources available in the Finance section to accomplish the Company’s objectives, in accordance with the Company’s rules, regulations and vision.
1.2 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and oversees the implementation of proper finance and accounting strategy to ensure achieving the Company’s business strategy and plans. Ensures existence of sound financial structure, maximizing the utilization of financial resources.
Preparing financial and accounting policies, procedures, and preparing, maintaining, controlling, and updating the Company’s financial records.
Recording all financial transactions and ensuring proper implementation of procedures and the authority matrix of the company.
Oversees the accounting, budgeting and financial reporting functions. Meets regularly with the CEO to keep him informed of the financial status and provides direction.
Reviews the financial performance of the various sections of the Company.
Provides timely feedback and improvement recommendations.
Oversees the development of the Company’s budget considering the needs of the company. Monitors and communicates the budget status to the CEO.
Prepares all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to BOD and reports to comply with the internal and external reporting requirements to SAMA as stated by the Insurance Supervision Section in the Insurance Intermediary Regulation.
Follows up on statements of accounts and insurance commissions due from Alalamiya Cooperative Insurance.
Organizing, archiving and updating all financial documents in a systematic manner.
Supervising and following up on receivable collections.
Assists the CEO in analyzing competitors in the market and conducting benchmarking studies of competitors’ offers, services and prices in order to recognize competitors’ strengths, weaknesses and their market support activities to improve and enhance the Company’s services.
Assists the CEO in preparing the financial projections including sales, margins, operating expenses. Advises him on how to improve the financial planning process.
Analyzes studies of business opportunities and financial conditions and their impact on the Company’s operations and performance.
Prepares Enterprise Risk Management manual and oversees its implementation process to ensure existence of adequate controls covering all functional and operational aspects of the company.
Oversees the development of the Finance, Accounting and IT policies and procedures. Recommends any significant changes needed to the CEO. Ensures proper implementation of approved policies and procedures.
Supervises all financial transactions of all sections and ensures their proper execution.
Liaises with the external auditors. Facilitates their work and ensures proper disposition of their observations.
Keeps himself exposed and updated with the latest developments in the insurance business.
Undertakes any other duties assigned by the CEO.
1.3 Section Management Duties:-
Prepares the Enterprise Risk Management manual and ensures that that risks are managed properly.
Plans the needs of the finance section such as manpower, systems, others.
Monitors the budget and plans of the finance section, to continuously update the CEO with the status and required changes.
Supervises and allocates the workload and responsibilities among the section staff.
Provides timely feedback on the performance of the staff reporting to him directly and counsels them on how to enhance their performance and address their weaknesses.
