QUANTITY SURVEYOR - sahara building contractors

1. Specifications: Quantity take off - Correspondence of items between Specs & BOQ.

2. Design drawings & design updates / variations: Quantity take off - Correspondence of items between Drawings & BOQ.

3. Bills of Quantities: Review Method of Measurement

4. Establish master file for quantities and calculation sheets

5. Agree breakdowns - Verify quantities.

6. Value Engineering: Assist QS Manager

7. Prepare new BOQ and breakdowns.

8. Verify Sub contractors invoices

9. Cost control system: Provide data to cost control engineer & others as required

10. Company Culture - rules procedures & policies: Acquire &respect through implementation company culture and company policies.

11. Procurement: Prepare quantities

12. Claims & Variations: Prepare quantities

13. Sub contracts & Sub contractors: review contract & advise of any comments

14. check contractual documents are in order-identify deviations from back to back

15. identify MOM & make measurements accordingly-establish & manage measurement files-verify quantities-agree on rates breakdown with s/c-provide feedback on claims & VO's

16. The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be providing all necessary assistance to the design team with respect to all financial aspects and contractual matters in the project. He will participate in the review and approval of interim payments, the variations and other financial matters. He will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the analysis and evaluation of all claims by the contractor.

17. Assist the SQS in all matters relating to the financial and contractual aspects of the project.

18. Participate, record and assist in the preparation of the minutes of the progress meetings.

19. Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.

20. Participate in all commercial meetings.

21. Assist the SQS in finalizing the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.

22. Streamline all cost and quantity records.

23. Evaluate the unit rates for work items and present to the SQS for review.

24. Participate in recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process.

25. Assist the SQS in the preparation of variation orders.

26. Evaluate contractual claims for review by the SQS.

27. Advise on contractual matters related to financial issues.

28. Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.

29. Check and record measurements of completed work.

30. Monitor contracts final cost estimates.

31. Able to analyze specifications, raw materials and other cost factors

32. Preparing the quotations, & operational estimates for each item

33. Dealing with suppliers for negotiation of price, custom made products & others comments with support of purchasing dept.

34. Visiting to site, preparing project reports & explaining tasks to installation team if required

35. Extensive experience in analyzing bids and presenting technical proposals as well as all estimation documents, Terms and conditions.

36. Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
