JOB FUNCTION Safety Supervisor working in the refinery complex, advise contractor's management on Safety, Health, and Environment aspects, plans safety program / procedure for the contract, to educate, train and inform contractor's employees about health and safety aspects and monitor the compliance. Coordinates, liaise and communicate with Industrial Safety Division as and when needed, knowledgeable of all associated hazards and the safety aspects required for safe execution of jobsWORK REQUIREMENTS: Should be fully conversant with Work Permit System, Scaffolding Procedure, Multilock System, Electrical Area Classification and relevant codes and standards, accident reporting and investigation procedures. -Advise requirement of Personnel Protective Equipment in line with safety procedures, ensure compliance, inspect and maintain record of these personnel protective Equipment. -Monitor the compliance of Work Permit System by the contractor employees. -Educate, train and inform the contractor employees on Health Environment and Safety aspects. -Get fully conversant with Fire and Safety Regulations, Major Incident Procedure Plan and Emergency Evacuation Plan and strictly compliance. -Report and investigate accidents and near misses of the contractor employees. -Co-ordinate, liaise and communicate with Safety Section and attend weekly meetings.
