Ensure Maintenance Schedules are current. ? Ensure optimal maintenance of wheels and bogies. ? Ensure that Component Maintenance is performed. ? Ensure that Procedures are followed. ? Ensure Safety Standards are met. ? Supervise the Planner and Engineer. The Technical Co-ordinator liases between RS Maintenance Planning and the Workshop to ensure that workshop maintenance on bogies and other components is completed for the Wagon technicians to re-install into their rolling stock. He manages Maintenance Planning and the engineers. He is the key person responsible for minimising Maintenance costs and utilisation of tools and material. He is the key person to ensure workplace safety.
