Desired Work Title - RIG Foreman / RIG Liaison Man.
Summary -
Our Client is currently looking for an experienced Rig Foreman to work with their Saudi operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a remote location and also have the required experience as mentioned below:
- 7 to 10 years experience as a Rig Foreman / RIG Liaison / RIG Operations / Drilling.
- Primary Liaison between Client and Client appointed RIG Contractor and shall provide supervision of all operations performed on Client RIG wells.
- Provide Training and evaluation of tool pusher trainees.
- Make recommendation on alternative methods in resolving defects of equipment when unusual situations arise.
- Ensure client appointed RIG contractors maintain the RIG and equipment adequately to maximize efficiency and minimize down time. Ensure the materials and equipment are properly utilized, stored and handled properly.
- Ensure the safety rules and regulations are followed by client appointed RIG contractors and work with drilling and work over engineers to see that objectives are performed as specified by drilling superintended.
- Train and instruct rig hands on job training performance, assess competency and identify gaps.
- Skill & expertise in deviated drilling including short radius horizontal wells.
- Offshore jackup drilling experience with in depth knowledge of top drive units, measurement While Drilling (MWD) technology and oil base muds.
- Experience in drilling high pressure / high temperature wells as deep as 17000 feet with heavy mud weights as high as 165 PCF in high H2S concentrations of 20%.
- Extensive Drilling & Workover experience internationally as RIG Supervisor with both offshore and onshore drilling operations.
Certifications Required:
1. Certificate in Blowout Prevention (BOP) and well control.
2. Oil & Gas upstream specialized training courses preferred.
3. Must have completed H2S, Offshore survival (HUET), Firefighting and First Aid courses.
4. Must have completed the IADC / IWCF certification courses to required level.
Kindly Note - Those with IWCF certification will have to appear and pass IADC certification before job mobilization.
