Workforce Planning Section Head - Ejadah Management Consultancy

Job Summary:

The Workforce Planning Section Head is responsible for the planning and implementation of training and development programs in line with the company’s overall business direction and corporate strategy and to oversee that all the company’s recruitment needs are being met.



Key Accountabilities:

Managerial Accountabilities:

• Promote an environment of accountability with clear and defined employees’ responsibilities, authorities and liabilities.

• Direct and coach the team, and enhance the department’s performance while ensuring that staffs are receiving the required training.

• Provide direction for the development of adequate policies and processes for the function to maintain efficient operational excellence in order to achieve the company’s strategic goals.

• Develop functional objectives, and annual business plans and budgets that are aligned to the company’s strategic goals and ensure the appropriate mechanisms, capabilities, and capacity levels are in place to achieve them.

• Support the management reporting process by providing senior management with regular updates on the function’s operational and/or financial performance.

• Develop and promote an environment of cross-functional and cross-business-unit collaboration.

• Drive proactive issue resolution across the organization and within the functional team.



Operational Accountabilities:

• Manage training and development activities within the approved budgets and in line with the HR policies and procedures and the company’s strategies & directions

• Manage the implementation of training programs in accordance with the preapproved training budget

• Oversee the effective use of various training methods available to improve employee performance and competencies in line with company’s business objectives and succession plan

• Conduct on-going training and development need analyses and prepares annual training calendar

• Coordinate with all function heads to identify and validate training needs in order to organize training programs

• Review and recommends improvements to recruitment & training policies & procedures, training providers and training programs

• Oversee the finalization and full implementation agreements with external trainers

• Coordinate with function heads to determine succession plans for the company’s key positions and reviews progress reports from function heads and trainers pertaining to these successors, analyzes reports and discuss with the HR Director on a quarterly basis

• Monitor the progress of both the company’s trainees, trainers, and prepares evaluation reports to evaluate performance of trainees and trainers

• Consult with function heads and HR Director to create attraction strategies based on the business drivers, research and analysis

• Contribute to overall company recruitment strategy, as well informing the HR Director on key developments in the recruiting space

• Provide analysis, interpretation and distribution of monthly/ quarterly / annual recruitment plans, demand planning/forecasting and associated costs

• Improve the resourcing effectiveness when measured against the key metrics such as cost per hire, time to hire and quality of candidates

• Lead the annual evaluation process, and provides support to all function heads on appraisal system and practices

• Analyze the appraisals results and consult with the HR Director and the HR Operations Manager on reward schemes as per the company’s policy

• Act as a source of reference and provides expert advice to line managers on all matters concerning recruitment and training activities

• Develop and maintain (working in close collaboration with the various functional teams across the organization) a pipeline of appropriate candidates, categorized by key function / department
