The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:
• Provide engineering and project management service
• Develop master plans for construction projects and site lay-outs
• Conduct engineering site assessments to determine suitability for operational purposes, safety and efficiency of structures and equipment
• Prepare tender specifications for the supply and/or maintenance of the site and its equipment
• Supervise and ensure that works done by contractors are performed promptly and according to specifications
• Supervise support staff involved in site management; provide training and technical guidance in their work
• Understand the design drawings and specifications and site requirements
• Make sure that civil works are undertaken in accordance with the approved procedures/specifications and that construction is made in accordance with the approved construction drawings.
• Documentation of project activities and monitor/tabulate all structural civil works.
• Preparation of accomplishment report/progress report development affecting progress of works such as change orders, field meetings action taken, and verification of details.
• Preparation and understanding of submittals.
• Provide assistance in planning, coordinating and participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and review its organization, scheduling and implementation.
• Supervise subcontractors work activities.
• Preparation of As-Built Drawings.
• Review and follow all safety requirements
• Plan, organize and arrange all the resources required for successful completion of the project as per drawings, specification within the time frame and budget.
