Quality Assurance Manager must ensure that the engineering services provided is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. Hence the Manager should have solid engineering background to identify the technical issues in the service provided.
The main responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Manager are as follows:
- Coordinate with the Projects Department to assist the project managers for the issues they may face.
- Contact the project owners (clients) and solve any issue they have with the services provided.
- Check the technical accuracy and quality of the work.
- Write performance reviews and solve internal issues.
- Review the reports submitted to the clients from the project managers.
- Ensure the compliance with ISO 9000.
- Hire and train technical support staff.
